Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Motion made, and Question put, That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Local Government Finance Bill, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

  1. (a) the remuneration of, and any expenses incurred by, valuation officers in carrying out functions under the provisions of the Act relating to non-domestic rating (including the remuneration and expenses of persons employed to assist them),
  2. (b) any expenses of the Secretary of State incurred in consequence of the Act, and
  3. (c) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable out of money so provided under any other enactment.—[Mr. Dorrell]
