HC Deb 13 May 1949 vol 464 c2142
Major Sir David Maxwell Fyfe

May I ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has any statement to make about a re-arrangement of the Business for next week?

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Ede)

Yes, Sir. Following the exchanges which took place across the Floor of the House yesterday, it is proposed to re-arrange the order of the Business announced for Tuesday. The Third Reading of the Licensing Bill will be taken as first order until 7.30 p.m., and afterwards we shall complete the remaining stages of the Ireland Bill.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

May I, on behalf of my hon. and right hon. Friends, express our gratitude to the right hon. Gentleman and the Government for meeting us in this way?
