Mr. Attlee

May I ask the Prime Minister for what he is proposing to suspend the Eleven o' Clock Rule?

The Prime Minister

We are proposing to suspend the Eleven o' Clock Rule in order to obtain the business up to and including the second Order. We also propose to take to-night Orders 3 and 4, being the Report stages of the two Money Resolutions relating to the Eire Bill, which are exempted business.

Motion made, and Question put, That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
