HC Deb 09 February 1937 vol 320 cc228-31
Mr. Attlee

May I ask the Prime Minister what Orders he proposes to take in view of the proposed suspension of the 11 o'clock Rule?

The Prime Minister

We desire to obtain the Second Reading of the Reserve Forces Bill, and the Committee stage of the remaining Supplementary Estimates. If there is time, we shall take the Report stage of the Estimates discussed yesterday, and the Committee stage of the British Shipping (Continuance of Subsidy) Bill, and the Third Reading of the Empire Settlement Bill. There is no intention of keeping the House up late.

Motion made, and Question put, That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
