HC Deb 25 April 1932 vol 265 cc40-3
Mr. LANSBURY

Can the Lord President of the Council say whether there is to be any alteration in the business for to-morrow and the following day?

Mr. BALDWIN

Yes. Owing to the regrettable indisposition of the Chancellor of the Exchequer it is not proposed to consider the Motion to approve the Order made under the Imports Duties Act, 1932, until next week. That necessitates a revision of business.

We propose to-day to proceed, as already announced, with the Exchange Equalisation Account, Committee stage, and the Report stage of the Budget Resolutions, to which we propose to devote Tuesday and Wednesday. We also propose to take on Tuesday and Wednesday the conclusion of the Report stage of the Budget and Financial Resolutions.

Thursday: Supply, Committee; Ministry of Agriculture Vote.

Friday: Supply, Committee. The Business will be announced later as we have not yet heard what the Vote is to be.

On any other day, if there is time, other Orders will be taken, including Motions to approve Orders Nos. 3 and 4 made under the Horticultural Products (Emergency Customs Duties) Act, of last year.

Sir W. DAVIS0N

Have the Orders made under the Horticultural Products (Emergency Customs Duties) Act anything to do with the floral display in certain parts of the Chamber?

Motion made, and Question put, That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[Mr. Baldwin.]

The House divided: Ayes, 267; Noes, 32.
