May I ask the Lord President of the Council what will be the form of the Motion dealing with India which is to be taken later in the week?

The LORD PRESIDENT of the COUNCIL (Mr. Baldwin)

The Prime Minister proposes to table a Motion asking the House to approve of the Indian policy of His Majesty's Government and that Motion I hope to hand in to-morrow after the statement of Government policy has been made. I hope that a White Paper containing a full report of that statement may be available in the Vote Office to-morrow afternoon.

Motion made, and Question put, That the Proceedings of the Committee of Ways and Means be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[Mr. Baldwin.]
