HC Deb 17 March 1931 vol 249 cc1866-9
Sir A. CHAMBERLAIN

May I ask the Prime Minister what is the business for Friday, and for what purpose or purposes he proposes to suspend the Eleven o'Clock Rule to-night?

The PRIME MINISTER

On Friday, the business will be the Small Landholders and Agricultural -Holdings (Scotland) Bill, further stages; the Probation of Offenders (Scotland) Money Resolution, Committee, and, if time permits, the Yarmouth Naval Hospital Bill, Second Reading, and the Committee stage of the necessary Money Resolution. As regards the suspension of the Eleven o'Clock Rule to-night, it is just for the usual purpose, to get the Air Estimates which have been put down in Committee of Supply, and Ways and Means Resolutions to be completed in Committee.

Motion made, and Question put, That, the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
