5 "That on and after the first day of July. nineteen hundred kind twentyfive. there shall be charged—

  1. (a) on all artificial silk yarn, thread, straw, or waste manufactured in Great Britain or Northern Ireland an Excise Duty at the rate of two shillings and sixpence for every pound's weight; and
  2. 1588
  3. (b) in respect of every licence to 1.)e taken out annually by a manufacturer of artificial silk yarn. thread. straw. or waste in Great. Britain or Northern Ireland an Excis, Duty of twenty shillings."
