§ The Prime Minister, in his speech last week, purposely refrained from referring to certain matters relating to reparation and to France, because, as he said, we would have occasion during the course of this week to return to this question. This is not a moment when anyone can go deeply into either question, and I shall, in the main, address myself in the form of a few questions to the Government, in the hope of eliciting some more definite knowledge of the Government policy which has recently been revealed to us in regard to these international troubles. We are the genuine friends of France. This country at heart, I am certain, desires to remain the genuine friends of France. This is not a class question—
