§ 95. Colonel Sir A. HOLBROOK
asked the Minister of Agriculture whether his attention has been drawn to correspondence between the National Citizens' Union (Spilsbury branch) and the Lindsey Agricultural Committee in September, 1921, and subsequently, relating to the 1429 alleged unnecessary visits of several officials in dealing with a case of swine fever; whether he is aware that a Report upon this was submitted by the Lindsey Agricultural Committee to the Ministry of Agriculture with a view to protesting against the overlapping of officials in dealing with this case; and whether he will investigate the procedure in order to reduce unnecessary expenditure in similar circumstances?
§ Major BARNSTON (for Sir A. Boscawen)
The reply to the first two parts of the question is in the negative. If, however, my hon. and gallant Friend will furnish further particulars of the case in question my right hon. Friend will have the matter investigated.
