HC Deb 25 May 1922 vol 154 c1405
22. Mr. BOWERMAN

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to a suggestion recently made by one of His Majesty's judges that strychnine should be coloured other than white, thereby protecting the public against misadventure in its use; if he is aware that experts agree that strychnine can be made a different colour; and will his medical officers give consideration to the suggestion with a view to legislation or an Order being issued enacting that all poisons should be of a definite colour?

Mr. SHORTT

Yes. My attention has been called to this suggestion, and I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave no Tuesday to a question on the same subject by the hon. and gallant Member for South-West St. Pancras (Major Barnett).
