37. Mr. MALONEasked the Prime Minister whether His Majesty's Government propose to instruct the British delegate to bring the question of the admission of Germany and/or Russia to the League of Nations at the next meeting of either the Council or Assembly of the League of Nations?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe question of the admission of Germany to the League depends primarily on the desire and initiative of Germany herself, and it would be premature for His Majesty's Government to decide upon any course of action until these are known. The attitude of Russia is well known.
