Mr. YOUNGI regret that I cannot see my way to adopt my hon. Friend's suggestion. Weekly figures tend to be misleading owing to special circumstances affecting clearances, etc., from time to time. Figures relating to such a period would, therefore, afford no reliable index to the state of the revenue, and would inevitably lead to mistaken inferences.
