HC Deb 17 May 1922 vol 154 c337
57. Captain FOXCROFT

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether His Majesty's Government has any further information as to the attack on two British soldiers in Dublin last Friday; and whether the Provisional Government has made any arrest in connection with the murder of Gunner Rolfe?

Sir H. GREENWOOD

In reply to the first part of the question, the reports regarding this outrage which I have received add nothing to the information which has appeared in the Press. I understand that no arrest has yet been made in connection with this murder.

Captain FOXCROFT

Does the right hon. Gentleman see any advantage in giving arms to the Provisional Government, which never punishes and never protects, even five months after peace is supposed to have been declared?

Mr. SPEAKER

That is an argument.
