§ 100. Captain BOWYERasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of the false position in which all sellers of tea are placed in view of their only having 3⅓d. allowed them with which to carry out a reduction of 4d. to the consumer; and will he reduce the Tea Tax by 4d. on all teas, wherever grown or, alternatively, if he cannot manage this, will he cause it to be publicly announced that the reduction to be expected by the consumer is 3⅓d. only?
