Mr. KENNEDYasked the President of the Board of Trade whether it is part of the duties of any Department of the Board to collect information regarding trusts and combines; whether he has any information as to any development towards combination which have taken place since the expiration of the Profiteering Act; and, if so, whether he will publish a return on the subject?
§ Mr. BALDWINThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the latter part, I am not aware of any special developments towards combination since the expiration of the Profiteering Act, and the answer to the last part is consequently in the negative.
