HC Deb 08 May 1922 vol 153 cc1768-9
8. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether a Report has been prepared on the recent Departmental inquiry ordered by him into the high price of beer sold to the public; and whether he will lay this Report upon the Table together with a summary of the evidence taken?

Mr. BALDWIN

I would refer to the answers given to the hon. and gallant Member for Newcastle East on 10th and 26th April.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

In view of the neglect of the Government to take anything off beer, is it not very important to make certain that no undue profits are being made on beer, and will he reconsider his decision and let us have the result of this inquiry?

Mr. BALDWIN

I am certain on the point.
