HC Deb 05 May 1922 vol 153 c1707
Mr. L'ESTRANGE MALONE

Will it be possible, Mr. Speaker, to represent to the Government that some of the less important Departments, whose questions are hardly ever reached on ordinary days, might answer the questions on Friday. In that case they would get three days' notice instead of two days' notice. Yesterday, about 20 minutes were occupied with questions relating to Ireland, and some of the departmental questions, such as those addressed to the Office of Works and the lesser Departments, were not reached. As a matter of fact, we seldom get any answers from those Departments in the House.

Mr. SPEAKER

I will consider that matter, but I think there is considerable difficulty in the way of having a Question time on Friday, especially as we mow meet at 11 o'clock.
