§ Sir A. MONDThe number of plasterers employed on housing schemes of local authorities on the 1st October and 1st March last were 10,021 and 8,804 respectively. At the same time there was a considerable number of local authorities who reported a shortage of plasterers on the 1st March.
Mr. THOMSONAs there are 2,000 less plasterers employed, will not the right hon. Gentleman expedite this housing work by employing these plasterers on new houses?
§ Sir A. MONDAs a matter of fact, where there are plasterers available I am endeavouring to allot houses to the local authorities.
