HC Deb 27 March 1922 vol 152 c936
28. Major KELLEY

asked the Prime Minister whether it is proposed to appoint another Minister of Transport, and whether the status of the Ministry of Transport is to be altered in the coming financial year?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

Yes, Sir. It will be necessary to appoint another Minister, though the post will carry no salary. As regards the last part of the question, I am not in a position to add to what was said on this subject by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer in the course of his statement on 1st March, to which I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend.

Mr. HOGGE

Will this appointment be, as the last, without salary?
