Mr. GILBERTasked the Minister of Labour whether juveniles who attend continuation schools in London have to attend at Employment Exchanges in order to register for employment; and whether his Department can arrange that the registration shall be done in the schools, so that the juveniles can get employment while they are in attendance at school?
§ Dr. MACNAMARASince August last arrangements have been in operation under which juveniles attending day continuation schools in London register for employment at the schools, and do not attend the Employment Exchanges for this purpose. The reply given to my hon. Friend on 22nd February stating that these juveniles register at the Exchanges was, I regret to say, inaccurate.
