18. Mr. L. MALONEasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he has any information concerning the proposals put forward by Greece for the reconstruction of Salonika; whether the British Government have offered any assistance in this matter; and what is the extent of our commitments?
Mr. HARMSWORTHI understand that the Greek Government are inviting tenders for the reconstruction of Salonika, but His Majesty's Government are in no way committed to the scheme, nor have they offered any Governmental assistance.
