No such statement or undertaking as that suggested by the hon. Member has ever been made.
§ Sir W. DAVISONIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that Mr. Michael Collins, in replying to a deputation from Cork, definitely stated that the British Government have agreed to be responsible up to £2,000,000 sterling for the burning of Cork, and is that statement correct?
