HC Deb 01 March 1922 vol 151 cc357-8
45. Mr. LYLE

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the still large number of unemployed, he will make careful inquiries before altering the constitution of the Department of Overseas Trade, and thus reducing the chances of increased work for the masses?

Mr. YOUNG

Careful inquiries have been made by the Government in this case, as in the case of the other recom- mendations of the Committee on National Expenditure, and my hon. Friend may rest assured that the considerations mentioned in the question have not been overlooked.
