HC Deb 01 March 1922 vol 151 c371
40. Mr. SUGDEN

asked the Minister of Health if full opportunities have been given to the agents' unions in respect of consultation as to the proposed legislation on industrial insurance; and if he will choose the chief executive officials to operate the same from amongst experienced insurance companies conditionally that such service is supplied without cost to the Ministry of Health?

Mr. SHORTT

My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. I received recently a deputation on which the agents' unions were represented, and I am at all times ready to consider any representations they may put before me. The second part of the question seems to be based upon a misconception of the legislation proposed. I do not understand what functions the hon. Member thinks could be assigned to the officials referred to.

Mr. SUGDEN

I will give the right hon. Gentleman details.

Mr. SHORTT

Thank you.
