§ Mr. BRIDGEMANThe average royalty rent paid in the counties of Cumberland and Westmorland during the quarter ended March, 1921, was 11d. per ton of coal raised. The total amount so paid was £19,818, none of which it is understood was paid to local rates. Information with respect to the royalty rent paid for October, November, and December, 1921, is not yet available.
