§ Sir R. HORNEThe Revenue derived from the Excise Duty on home-grown 1212 sugar during the current financial year is approximately £88,000 to 31st January last. The rate at which the duty is levied per ton is five-sixths of £23 6s. 8d. on sugar polarising at over 980, and proportionate rates on sugar of lower polarisations.
