§ Sir A. MONDIn reply to the first part of the question, I would refer to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for the Heywood Division (Mr. Halls) on the 9th February. The number of separate schemes approved for local authorities and public utility societies is 4,372. The capital commitments in respect of the schemes for which tenders have been approved amount approximately to £178,000,000. The number of houses completed in England and Wales under the housing schemes during the last three months is 28,004.
