HC Deb 14 February 1922 vol 150 c815
49. Mr. SWAN

asked the Prime Minister if the Government has yet considered the advisability of introducing powers so as to obtain a reduction in the cost of foodstuffs by reinstating the Retail Prices Order, so as to enable the people to exist on the wages that are at present being paid?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Sir W. Mitchell-Thomson)

I have been asked to reply. I would refer to the answer which I gave on 10th February to the hon. Member for Abertillery.
