HC Deb 14 February 1922 vol 150 cc790-1
13. Sir R. CLOUGH

asked the Secretary of State for War whether 247 10.5 howitzers were found in the Rockstroh Works, near Dresden, in December; whether 342 10.5 howitzers were discovered in the same works shortly before; how many of these weapons are still being discovered; and whether any penal procedure is adopted in the case of all such glaring concealments of arms?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

A discovery on the scale indicated of manufactured and partly manufactured 105 mm. howitzers was made at the Rockstroh Works about the end of last year. The German Government has undertaken to proceed with the utmost rigour of the law against the guilty persons. No similar incident has occurred since, at these or other works.
