HC Deb 09 February 1922 vol 150 c270
6. Mr. C. WHITE

asked the Minister of Pensions if he will reconsider the case of ex-Lance-Corporal S. Botham, No. 202561, Notts and Derby Regiment, of Bakewell, who had his pension reduced by 108. a week on 21st December, 1921; whether he is aware that this man has lost one leg, had the shin bone taken out of the other, and whose left arm is useless, and that this man has never had an artificial leg provided, and can only walk with difficulty with crutches; whether he knows that this man did five years' war service and is now quite incapacitated from following any employment; and whether he will at once order that the full pension shall be paid to him?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am making personal inquiries into this case; meanwhile I can say that arrangements are being made to have the man fitted with an artificial leg.
