HC Deb 12 April 1922 vol 153 cc397-8
101. Mrs. WINTRINGHAM

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he can explain why parcels advised by the officers of His Majesty's Customs at Grimsby under Customs No. B28/34, 23/46, etc., on which reparation duties were paid to his collector on the 24th March last, have not been delivered; and, if so, in view of the impediment to business caused by these delays, will he take steps either to increase the staff or to improve the system and so prevent these delays and losses to the business community?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Hilton Young)

I am causing inquiries to be made into this matter, and will communicate to the hon. Member.
