§ 31. Mr. ORMSBY-GOREasked the Prime Minister, whether the British Government will urge the immediate summoning of a special meeting of the Council of the League of Nations in order to prepare the necessary steps to fulfil the responsibilities of the League in regard to the Armenians and the Moslem and Christian minorities in Adrianople and Smyrna, respectively, proposed to be thrown upon the League by the recent Conference at Paris of Allied Foreign Ministers which dealt with the Treaty of Sèvres?
Mr. HARMSWORTHI do not think this matter can be usefully considered until the Turkish and Greek Governments have accepted the Allied peace proposals.
