HC Deb 06 April 1922 vol 152 cc2417-8
47. Mr. GIDEON MURRAY

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies has yet presented his Report upon his recent official visit to the British West Indian Colonies; and, if so, whether he will arrange to have this Report printed and laid upon the Table of the House at an early date?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Edward Wood)

I hope that my Report will shortly be presented to the Secretary of State. It is proposed to lay it on the Table of the House at the earliest possible moment.

Mr. MURRAY

Can the hon. Gentleman give any idea when the earliest possible moment will be?

Mr. WOOD

I hope to have it out of my hands in the course of the next two or three weeks. I understand courtesy demands that it should not be laid on the Table of the House before it has had time to reach the Colonies concerned.
