HC Deb 05 April 1922 vol 152 c2226
27. Captain LOSEBY

asked the Minister of Health if he intends to introduce a Bill dealing with lunacy reform at an early date?

Sir A. MOND

This question is under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to say whether it will be practicable to introduce, legislation.

Captain LOSEBY

Is it not the fact that the right hon. Gentleman refused a Royal Commission on the ground that he intended to introduce, a Bill, at an early date, and if he does not so intend, will he reconsider the demand for the setting up of a Royal Commission?

Sir A. MOND

I am still in hope of being able to introduce a Bill, but that depends on the time of the House and other matters not under my control. If I do not, then I will reconsider the point put by my hon. and gallant Friend.
