HC Deb 05 April 1922 vol 152 c2216
18. Lord H. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

asked the Minister of Labour when the Report of the Committee on the Employment of Disabled Ex-Soldiers will be presented to the House?

Dr. MACNAMARA

As I informed my Noble Friend on 3rd August last, as a result of the recommendations contained in the Report of the Committee on the Employment of Severely Disabled Ex-Soldiers, assistance has been given to the Central Committee of the Lord Roberts Memorial Workshops. Applications from certain other institutions are under consideration. I do not think any advantage would be gained by publishing the Report.

Lord H. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

Is there not a close connection between the Government's refusal to publish this Report and the Government's unwillingness to carry out their recommendations?

Dr. MACNAMARA

I do not think so.
