Colonel NEWMANasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any attempt has been made to ascertain the taxable capacity in sterling of the German citizen vis-à-vis of the citizen of this country, on the lines that were adopted some years ago in the Report of the Commission on the Financial Relations between Great Britain and Ireland; and, if not, will such an inquiry be instituted?
