§ 17. Captain GEEasked the Secretary of State for War, whether part of the Government factory at Bramley is occupied by the United Steel Company; and, if so, what rent, if any, is paid?
§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSThe United Steel Company is occupying a portion of the Bramley factory, and there engaged in breaking down ammunition. In consequence the cost of transport of the ammunition has been saved. The amount of the rental has not yet been fixed, but it is proposed to charge a fair rent.
§ Captain GEECould not this particular work just as well be done by some of the men who are now being discharged from Woolwich?
§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSI do not know the details, but I have answered the question on the Paper. If my hon. and gallant Friend will put down another question, I shall be glad to answer it.
