HC Deb 26 May 1921 vol 142 c319
71. Mr. A. SHORT

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that in consequence of the present industrial situation many working men and women are unable to pay the premiums on their industrial insurance policies, and are consequently threatened with the lapse of their policies with the loss of premiums already paid; and whether, in order to protect these people, action will be taken to prevent such wholesale lapsing of industrial insurance policies?

Mr. SHORTT

My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to a question on this subject on the 5th May.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

When will the Bill dealing with the matter be produced?

Mr. SHORTT

I cannot possibly say.
