Mr. ACLANDasked the Chief Secretary whether, in view of the fact that the destruction of property at Westport on 25th March was due to an error of judgment, the sufferers can claim compensation and from what source; and whether he will state on what date the police officer concerned was reprimanded.
§ Sir H. GREENWOODI would refer the right hon. Gentleman to the reply given to him by my right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General on 28th April. As regards the last part of the question, I cannot see what useful purpose would be served by the information asked for.
