§ 57. Mr. RAFFANasked the Prime Minister whether any measures have been or can be taken to prevent the German Government from still further inflating the currency?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe position of German currency is a matter for the German Government; but it would be the duty of the Reparation Commission, should the inflation of that currency render the fulfilment of reparation obligations impossible, to make such recommendations to the Allied Governments as might be necessary.
