Mr. ROBERT RICHARDSONasked the Home Secretary whether he can throw any light on the disappearance of Robert MacDonald, organiser of the Stepney unemployed, who was last seen on Sunday, 20th February, at about 1.30 p.m., in conversation with two policemen; whether he has been arrested; and, if so, what is the charge against him?
§ Mr. SHORTTThe Commissioner of Police informs me that MacDonald was arrested on 20th February on a warrant for alleged fraudulent conversion. He appeared on 21st February before the magistrate at Clerkenwell Police Court, who remanded him in custody, till the 28th, and then further remanded him till the 2nd March.
