HC Deb 01 March 1921 vol 138 cc1610-1
Lieut.-Commander KEN WORTHY

(by Private Notice) asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether a warrant for the arrest of Captain T. G. Macfie, D.S.O., M.C., late Adjutant of the Auxiliary Division of the Royal Irish Constabulary, has been issued by the police adviser; and why is the arrest of the gentleman being sought?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL for IRELAND (Mr. Denis Henry)

My right hon. Friend has asked me to answer this question. No, Sir. No warrant has been issued for the arrest of Captain Macfie. The last part of the question does not, therefore, arise.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Was the warrant cancelled on the receipt of notice of this private question?

Mr. HENRY

Certainly not.
