§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Mr. Neal)The Road Fund is solely applicable to the purposes of Part II of the Development and Road Improvement Funds Act, 1909, as amended by the Roads Act, 1920. As regards the second part of the question, grants and loans to a limited amount are made to highway authorities from the Road Fund towards the cost of the purchase of road plant. Vehicles required for the haulage of road materials are in some cases included in such plant.
