§ 56. Mr. GILBERTasked the Secretary of State for War whether the Government has yet come to any decision as to issuing a medal to all troops who were engaged on home service during the War; whether he is aware that many of the officers and men were of middle age during such service, and were in most cases prevented from age or medical causes from serving overseas; and, in view of this, will he urge on his Department the need for an early decision and, pending the issue of a medal, allow such ex-service men to have the privilege of wearing a war ribbon?
§ Sir R. SANDERSAs was stated last week, it is hoped that decisions will be reached shortly on all questions of medals and clasps.
