HC Deb 21 June 1921 vol 143 cc1097-8
32. Mr. MYERS

asked the Home Secretary whether there is any suggestion to abolish various small reforms introduced into the prison system during the last few years; and whether a Committee is at present considering this matter?

Sir J. BAIRD

There is no such suggestion, and no Committee is at present considering the matter. There is a Committee now sitting on Prison Estimates, in accordance with the Treasury Circular of the 13th May, but there is no question of abolishing "reforms."
