§ 41. Mr. J. GARDINERasked the Secretary for Scotland when the Reports of the Commissions on Deer Forests and Heather Burning will be published; and will he explain the delay that has occurred in the Reports being received?
§ The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Morison)I am informed that the final meeting of the Deer Forests Committee to adjust the terms of the Report will be held in the beginning of July. The collection of the necessary information has taken longer than was anticipated, and the final adjustment of the Report has been 1079 delayed by travelling difficulties. The Report of the Game and Heather Burning Committee is on the point of being submitted to my right hon. Friend. The Report in this case, as my right hon. Friend explained in his reply on the 24th May to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Central Aberdeen, has been delayed owing to the indisposition of the Chairman of the Committee.
