§ 77. Mr. TURTONasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is prepared, in the interests of economy, national and local, to revise the scale of registration expenses made under Section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1918, by substituting third-class instead of first-class railway fares for registration officers and their deputies?
Mr. YOUNGThis question is under consideration, but the amount of money involved is extremely small, being in the neighbourhood of 10s. a head per annum for each officer on the average.
