§ 11. Mr. GILBERTasked the President of the Board of Trade whether any stocks of wool are still held by the Government for disposal in this country; if so, can he give approximately the quantities held; can he also state if it is Australian wool or has been imported from other countries; and can he give what decision has been arrived at by his Department as to the disposal of any stocks of wool now held?
§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Hilton Young)I have been asked to answer this question. With regard to the first, second, and last parts of the question I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to a similar question by the hon. Member for East Grinstead on the 30th May. With regard to the third part of the question, the wool referred to has been imported from Australia, New Zealand, and, in the case of a very small quantity, from the Falkland Islands.
