Resolution reported,
That the stamp duty chargeable on local authorities in respect of the audit of their accounts by district auditors shall, instead of being charged according to the existing scale be charged according to a scale which shall be fixed by the Treasury after consultation with the Minister of Health, and shall be such as to secure that the duties levied shall be sufficient to meet the costs incurred in respect of the remuneration, including superannuation allowances, and the expenses of district auditors.

That it be an Instruction to the Committee on the Finance Bill that they have power to make provision therein pursuant to the said Resolution."—[Mr. Hilton Young.]
